DIN 934 Hex Nuts, also known as hexagonal nuts, have metric threads with coarse and fine pitches. Coarse pitch hexagonal nuts have poorer self-locking and locking capabilities than fine pitch hexagonal nuts, but have higher locking forces than fine pitch nuts; fine pitch nuts have good locking performance, are suitable for vibration resistance, and are convenient for gap adjustment, but have poorer locking forces than coarse pitch nuts, so they are suitable for larger spaces or larger torques.
